dove of peace
the birds are going
the other way now,
passing houses as they go.
and the geese fly
back and forth
across the valley,
getting ready.
the sound of geese in the distance
is wonderful:
in our minds
we rise up
and move on.
spring poem in the skagit valley
from ish river, robert sund
walk on the water
let the open palm stretch
untether the captive heart
wake the sleepy tender one
rise to meet the only story
love
love is healthy for children
and other living things
